Colleen Manning from Studio Pilates located in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada contacted me to help “reinvent” her studio’s image in celebration of their 10th anniversary. She needed the new brand to be clean, fun and fresh, and to reflect the business’ dedication to teaching proper pilates techniques.

I created a new logo, business card, and postcard design for Studio Pilates that communicates the high level of energy and excitement that the studio wants its clients to feel about the program. The swirling icon is an abstract representation of a person rolling like a ball, a basic pilates movement. The overlapping layers of green and yellow are bright and vibrant, coupled with a clean modern font that speaks “professional”.

I’m so excited to announce the newest member of our Sweet Stuff team – Kate Warden!

When I decided to start Sweet Stuff Studios, I knew it would be a huge undertaking for me and that I couldn’t do it alone. Kate and I studied design together at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, so I knew she’d be perfect for the job. Fortunately for me, she loved the idea and couldn’t wait to get on board!

I’ll be posting more about Kate later next week, but I thought it would be a great way to start the weekend if I posted some of the new Holiday Card designs she’s created. These cards are now available in the Shoppe, and I’ll be posting more designs all next week!

Last summer I received the exciting news that I won the AN-NE Award for Best Children and Family Campaign from Professional Photographers of America. I was so thrilled to hear the good news, and even more excited to travel to Nashville last January to attend Imaging USA and receive my sparkly trophy!
